Tornado Crisis Policy

Say goodbye to the gap left by traditional insurance with supplemental Tornado Crisis coverage.  With payouts in just days and coverage for out-of-pocket expenses such as the deductible, you can have the immediate funds you need to recover quickly.

A tornado policy acts as a supportive pillar, providing coverage of up to $15,000 for any out-of-pocket costs in the event of a tornado.  Whether it’s your main home insurance deductible, managing debris cleanup, or even settling hotel bills while you find your feet, we’ve got you covered.

Most home insurance policies cover tornados. However, all insurance policies have gaps. The purpose of the Tornado Crisis Policy is to help cover out-of-pocket costs, deductibles, and exclusions that may occur from the main home insurance coverage. This policy pays within a few days, whereas most carriers take weeks or months to payout. Many homeowners during this time have to pay for debris clean-up, gas, groceries, accommodations and other out-of-pocket expenses.

How the Policy Works

Client Centered

Step 1 A tornado damages your property

Step 2 The insurance company uses National Weather Service data, which is collected on a house by house and street by street basis, to figure out what properties were damaged from the tornado.

Step 3 If your property was damaged, the insurance company sends you a text and email asking if you received damage.  If you respond “YES”, you get taken to the payment portal where you can initiate payment directly to your bank account.

Step 4 The payout amount is determined based on the EF level at your property as rated by the National Weather Service.  EF5 is the most severe tornado with EF0 being the least.

EF LEVEL PAYOUT AMOUNT

  • EF5 $15,000
  • EF4 $10,000
  • EF3 $7,500
  • EF2 $5,000
  • EF1 $2,000
  • EF0 $2,000

Step 5 Use the money to fix up your house, cover your main deductible, or anything else you may need to recover.
